Our Second School.
Our School
We have a primary day school and a junior secondary day school, for children aged 3 - 16, which are charity funded, located in Bofa, Kilifi, Kenya. We follow the CBC curriculum.
We offer all classes from Pre-Primary (nursery) class to standard 6, then standard 7 - 9 at junior secondary.

Our History
-
Trevor started going to Kenya in 2008 initially volunteering at a school and orphanage.
-
In 2010 he started sponsoring 2 children to attend a local school.
-
By 2011 there were 14 children being fully sponsored and attending school.
-
Trevor was keen to find a way of helping even more children obtain an education.
-
In 2012 he opened ‘Faithmount School’ with 1 teacher and 23 pupils.
-
By the end of the first week there were 45 pupils.
-
The school has continued to grow every term since.
-
In 2013 the charity ‘Kilifi Schools Education Fund’ was set up to help finance the school.
-
At this point over 50 friends, family and colleagues contribute on a regular monthly basis.
-
In 2013 the school was officially registered as a school and exam centre.
-
In 2014 the school sat for the national exams of Kenya for the first time – KCPE.
-
In May 2015 our landlady gave us the devastating news that she did not want us to rent the school any longer.
-
We spent a month looking for new premises, but there were none suitable.
-
In June 2015 we found a 2 acre piece of land which we purchased with plans to build our own new school.
-
By December 2015 we had built 16 new classes and we renamed our school, 'Kingston Junior Academy' was born.
-
In January 2016 our new school opened and we had now grown to 260 pupils.
-
We could not have built our school without help from so many supporters, especially Barclays Bank and South Hunsley School.
-
The school continued to grow and each year we entered pupils for the KCPE exams.
-
By 2017 we had grown to over 350 pupils and we successfully raised the funds to build a school hall as well as getting piped drinking water to the school.
-
In 2018 we were successful in getting solar power connected giving us lights in the classrooms.
-
In 2019 we had grown to 420 pupils and had successfully built 2 more classes. We also started to have 2 streams for some classes.
-
In 2020 we passed 500 pupils for the first time and had 16 teaching staff with most year groups having two streams.
-
In 2023 we grew to almost 700 pupils with 22 staff.
-
We continue to enter students annually for the KCPE exams, with great success.
